Recent Empties!

I haven't blogged my Empties in a really long time, so here are the finished products that I could find, and if I come across any more I'll either throw them out or put them in next month's lot if they are worth talking about. I'm trying to de-clutter the house, so it will be great to actually throw this lot out once I've blogged them! On another note, I have a Giveaway coming soon so keep an eye out for that!

Alpha-H Liquid Gold
Love love love this stuff and I already have another bottle on the go! I use it the night before a special occasion, because it really gives me a brighter, better-looking complexion. I will always re-purchase this, but I wait for various discounts or offers!
Re-purchase? Yes

TN Dickinson's Witch Hazel
This is another staple in my skincare routine and I love that it's so cheap, because I can always stock up, guilt-free! Having said that, I've just bought a Tea Tree Toner from The Body Shop on sale, so I'll be using that instead for a while. But then I will.....
Re-purchase? Yes

Australis Fresh & Flawless Pressed Powder
This got low then broke up, but luckily I had already bought a new one in the Priceline 40% Off Cosmetics sale. This time I went for Light Beige instead of Natural though, which matches my skin colour more. Love this powder!
Re-purchase? Already have!

Darphin Exquisage Beauty Revealing Cream
I got this as a sample with an order or possibly in a Mecca Beauty Loop Box (thanks for playing along, memory!) and I really love it! Great results, felt good, no reaction, just an all-round great product. However I have too many other creams like this to use up, so....
Re-purchase? No

Uriage Aqua PRECIS Eye Contour Care
I really love this eye gel and found it to quite effective. My routine was to use this before bed, and my holy grail La Prairie Skin Caviar Luxe Eye Lift Cream in the morning. I won this tube and by a strange coincidence simultaneously redeemed my BeautyHeaven points on the same thing in a Beautorium, so I.....
Re-purchase? Already have a back-up!

Wotnot Facial Wipes for Normal/Sensitive Skin*
If you read my What's In The March Good Green Box? post, you'll know that these were in the Good Green Box! It only contained five wipes, so they are gone, baby, gone. I loved the smell of these and how gentle they were. I'm pretty interchangeable with my wipes though, so I will probably grab something else next time.
Re-purchase? No

Paula's Choice Skin Balancing Super Antioxidant Concentrate Serum
This is a tiny little sample tube that weirdly took forever to use! It had a surprising firm jelly like consistency that sort of was squishy but held together. It soaked in easily enough though and I enjoyed using it. But again I have too many other similar products in my stash to use, so....
Re-purchase? No

Lush Lord Of Misrule Shower Cream
Or shower SCREAM if you go by the most amazing product typo I've ever seen! OMG, this was 50% off in the Boxing Day sale and I have taken forever and a day to use this up. It actually expired in January this year and there were little grainy bits in it. Despite transforming me into the Incredible Hulk's shower double, I will give this bright green cream a miss and concentrate on using up my shower gels instead.
Re-purchase? No

The Body Shop Pink Grapefruit Body Scrub-Gelee
I loved this scrub! The fragrance was amazing and the formula was spot on! I found it refreshing and fun to use and would look at getting it again in the future, but I have enough other scrubs in my stash to work my way through first.
Re-purchase? No

Sally Hansen Color Therapy Manicure!*

Hello! I hope you all had a lovely, relaxing Easter break filled with chocolate eggs, hot cross buns and lots of family fun! I relaxed to the max, and took my sweet time getting around to my latest manicure, which is what I'll be featuring today.

This is Pampered In Pink (290)* from the newly released Sally Hansen Color Therapy range. It's a really pretty and vibrant pop of bright pink and I'm so in love with it, not only for the gorgeous colour, but also because this is only one coat. I was all ready to apply the second layer, but this formula provided a super-even coverage and was totally opaque after one coat. It's a lovely glossy finish, too. Winning! So I thought I'd leave it there and see how it wears.

What's unique about this Color Therapy collection is the Argan Oil formula. Sally Hansen say that it's 'colour that cares while you wear.' It claims to provide instant moisture, intensive nourishment and up to 10 days wear. This couldn't come at a better time because as you can see my nails are on the short side. I've had so many breakages lately I nearly bought one of those plastic nail wheel things to paint the polish on for my blog posts instead of featuring my own less-than-brilliant talons. But I really wanted to show you this polish, so my nails it is!

I was lucky enough to be sent four shades in the Sally Hansen Color Therapy range; below is a photo I took of them altogether. They are, from left to right; Primrose And Proper (240)*, Soothing Sapphire (430)*, Pampered In Pink (290)* and Blushed Petal (190)*.

They are available for purchase in Chemist Warehouse, Priceline, Target, Kmart, Coles and Woolworths.

What's In The March Good Green Box*?

I was lucky enough to be sent a little gift this week, in the form of the March Good Green Box*! Many thanks to Bloggers United AU for hooking me up! Now I'll tell you why this is super-exciting for me; I'm that rare beauty lover that doesn't subscribe to any beauty subscription boxes. Say whaaaaaa? Well I'm normally quite happy to work my way through le beauty stash/large stockpile of samples I've collected. But having said that, getting a box in the mail that's full of beautiful surprises is not something I'll turn down! Good Green Box is a monthly box of organic and natural beauty products, some samples, some full-sized. If you like something after trialling it, you can buy it in their online store! It's a great way of trying out different products and brands, and useful if you're into natural beauty products. Let's see what's in the March Good Green Box, shall we?

First of all, there's a card explaining everything in the box, including the total value, a little description of each product, the price if you were to buy the full size product and all the key ingredients in each product.

What's Inside The Box?
~ Sarah Jean Lashes (SJ003)
~ Sarah Jean Waterproof Eyelash Adhesive in Clear (4ml)
~ MIOD Balancing Face Oil (15ml)
~ Wotnot Facial Wipes for Normal/Sensitive Skin (5 wipes)
~ Amazing Oils Organic Magnesium Wipes (sachet containing what feels like 1 wipe)
~ Bondi Wash Tasmanian Pepper & Lavender Body Wash (10ml sachet)
~ Earth Mumma Pit Paste Natural Deodorant (sample pot)

First up, there's a set of Sarah Jean Lashes and a Waterproof Eyelash Adhesive (in Clear) to go with it. I have to say I've never heard of this brand before! The lashes are vegan and cruelty-free and the information card says the adhesive uses a world first mascara-style applicator. Well I never! They are also anti-allergenic, water soluble and latex free. They are sounding pretty safe, I can't wait to give them a go!

Next up is a decent-sized MIOD Balancing Facial Oil. Guys, have you heard of MOID? Again, I haven't, but that's why these boxes are good. It's all about discovering new brands and trying new things. I've got a few other serums and another face oil to trial before this, but I will get to it soon.

I've already broken open and used one of the Wotnot Sensitive Wipes because I couldn't even be stuffed with the Micellar Water last night. I was so tired I just wanted my makeup off stat! These smell pleasant and did a good job of removing my face (not the whole thing, just the makeup, lol). They contain Australian certified organic aloe vera, rosehip and sweet almond oils.

Amazing Oils Organic Magnesium Wipes: what the hell is a magnesium wipe I hear you ask! Or is it just me that has NFI what this product is? Apparently you use it for pain relief of sore muscles and it can even help you sleep! I will wait until something goes wrong with a body part (shouldn't take too long, haha) and wipe this and await my Amazing results!

The Bondi Wash Tasmanian Pepper and Lavender Body Wash sure sounds interesting. Can't wait to lather this up. Here's hoping I don't burn my rude bits! I'm just kidding, they wouldn't really let the pepper heat your skin, guys. I do think this would be refreshing though (and might avoid my front bum region, just in case).

I've never used a natural deodorant before so the Earth Mumma Pit Paste has certainly caught my attention. This is described as a creamy deodorant made with simple, natural, organic ingredients. It actually smells really nice, and I appreciate the lack of parabens and other nasty chemicals. Can't wait to whack on my Brad Pitt Paste and see if it's effective! Hehe.

Overall, the contents of this box are valued at over $65! I'm happy with the inclusions and for someone with limited natural beauty exposure, I'm excited to try everything out and see how I go! Thanks again to Bloggers United AU and Good Green Box.

Netflix Recommendation: Santa Clarita Diet

Being a huge Drew Barrymore fan, I was so excited to hear she was starring in a Netflix original series. When I read the plot involved eating human flesh, I was even more intrigued! This quirky horror-comedy series stars Drew Barrymore and Timothy Olyphant as mild-mannered married real estate agents, Sheila and Joel, whose world is turned upside down when Sheila undergoes a transformation.

Well that's putting it mildly. You see, while Sheila feels better than ever, with an increased libido and the boldness she's always craved, she must eat people. So it's bit of a dilemma! This offbeat show is played way over the top, it's absolutely ridiculous, but hilarious and such a guilty pleasure! It's been criticized for the level of gore, and if you don't like blood this may not be for you, but I wasn't bothered, and I'm by no means a fan of the horror genre. I think it helps to be a Drew Barrymore fan, although I haven't seen Timothy Olyphant in much before and I found him endearing, too. There are also some great guest stars (I won't spoil who they are!). And I gotta say, I have serious hair envy; Drew's locks in this show are amazing!

I'm so excited that Santa Clarita Diet has just been renewed for a second season! Definitely give this offbeat series a go, guys, you won't regret it!

Pamper Time With Rustic Bliss!

There are so many reasons to love Instagram, right guys? Beautiful photos that serve as inspiration, product information, amazing goodies to win, the ability to connect with like-minded people and discovering new brands you otherwise wouldn't have come across. I first saw Rustic Bliss on Instagram, and I'm so glad I stumbled upon them! Claire and Stacey are friends that combined their knowledge and expertise to make a range of natural products in the Southern Highlands; Aussie brand Rustic Bliss was born! I was kindly sent three bath and body products from the range, so let's have a look at them now!

Whipped Lime Body Oil*

'This whipped lime body oil has the texture of a body butter but the finish of a beautiful light body oil. It is jammed packed full of natural oils that will leave your skin feeling soft and hydrated!'

If you're a regular reader you'll know that citrussy scents are my favourite. This body oil smells amazing and leaves my skin with a nice lingering zingy lime aroma. I was actually expecting the consistency to be light and fluffy given the 'whipped' descriptor in the title, but this product seems to have been whipped them packed quite firmly into the pot. Not that I'm complaining, because I'm getting more product instead of a bunch of air! At first it's hard to the touch, but warms to the fingers, allowing you to scoop some out. I really like this formula now that I'm used to it!

I enjoy experiencing new products and I've got to say, I don't have much history with body or facial oils. As you rub this on the skin, it melts like butter, absorbing in and leaving the skin beautifully moisturised and nourished. I'm finding this particularly helpful on my super-dry elbows, and I'm using it on my legs for the same reason; it's doing wonders for these areas, and my dry, scaly patches are transforming into softer, healthier-looking skin. This pot is going to last me ages, too, as a little goes a long way (I've only made a small dent in the surface so far!).

Peppermint Sugar Scrub*

'The perfect sugar scrub enriched with all natural coconut oil, leaving the skin exfoliated and moisturised with the added benefit of peppermint to brighten the skin.'

This sugar scrub smells very strongly of peppermint, so much so that I could smell it even before I opened the packet! The packet itself was easy to open and a breeze to use in the shower. As soon as I opened it and got a stronger whiff, it immediately reminded me of candy canes! The particles in the formula are medium-sized and I didn't experience that scratchy feeling you sometimes get when the particles are too large, rough or uneven. This felt good, was easy to apply and didn't separate and result in wastage due to some dropping to the shower floor.

The scrub did a great job of exfoliating and left my skin really smooth and soft. Because of the peppermint and cold pressed organic oils in the ingredients, it also provides moisturisation. Although there's no film or coating on the skin after use, I did notice water droplets forming on the skin (because water and oil don't mix, yo!). After stepping out of the shower my body was tingly AF, which was the strangest feeling! This intense tingling has never happened to me before. It wasn't bad and it didn't hurt, it was just amusing and quite the experience. This settled down after about ten minutes, thankfully, because I didn't really want to tingle for the rest of my life. This is the most refreshing scrub and I highly suggest using it first thing in the morning, because it will wake you the fudge up, that's for sure!

Lemon And Lime Bath Milk*

'A luxurious milk bath to invigorate your senses and energise your body. This product is packed with soothing and repairing ingredients that are all gentle on the skin. Perfect for use on sensitive skin.'

Aah, lemon and lime. This ticks all the boxes fragrance-wise, because citrus scents for the win! I don't think I'd ever used a bath milk before, so this was another new experience for me (I'm usually a bath bomb or bubblebath girl). This product is housed in exactly the same white zip-lock packet as the scrub, so my thoughts are the same on the packaging. The scent of this is zingy and zesty but also somehow sweet, like lollies! It's clean and refreshing and somewhat addictive if you like these types of smells as much as I do!

At first the water stayed clear, but the more product I added, the cloudier the water became. I basically just sprinkled some of the pale yellow powder into a hot bath, then swirled it around with my foot to mix it in (you could just as easily use your arm if you don't mind bending over, lol). The more you add, the stronger the scent, so it's pretty easy to get the type of bath you want. This was such a beautifully relaxing bath experience for me! Admittedly, I had just done an entire days worth of housework so I was pretty stuffed, but it was just awesome to lay back and de-stress in such a gloriously-scented bath. I loved this bath so much I stayed in there for ages, until hubby "thought I was dead" (but kept playing his computer game anyway). LOL. No, I was just enjoying the Lemon And Lime Bath Milk, and the fact that I wasn't working. I can't wait to have another bath with this Rustic Beauty Bath Milk!

REVIEW/GIVEAWAY: Empassion Skincare Range!

Hello! This post is all about Empassion Natural, an affordable Australian skincare, haircare and aromatherapy brand that uses plant-derived ingredients and no harsh chemicals. I love that all their products are natural, and of course not tested on animals! There are no hidden nasties, so you can be confident that when you use an Empassion product, you're only putting natural ingredients on your body. They make a wide range of beauty products too; there's a range for kids, babies, men and scented ranges such as lavender and pink grapefruit. I was kindly sent the Cream Cleanser*, Face Mask* and Scented Mist* from the lovely Pink Grapefruit range, and Empassion have generously offered to provide an extra set of these goodies to give away to my readers! So keep reading to find out how you can WIN three Pink Grapefruit products to try for yourself!

Pink Grapefruit Cream Cleanser*

'When you smile, you make the world a happier place... your smile brings joy.'

Firstly, I love that the bottle carries these words of empowerment. How refreshing! This creamy cleanser is targeted towards normal to dry and sensitive skin types, however I have oily/combination skin and I found it to be a lovely, gentle product that was still effective. My skin felt soft and clean afterwards and I didn't experience any dry or tight feeling. It doesn't have any anti-ageing properties and as such it's a cleanser best suited to teenagers and people in their twenties. This would make a perfect starter face wash for those just beginning a skincare routine as it's so gentle; for this reason I also think it would be perfect if you easily react to skincare, as it's designed with sensitive skin in mind and formulated with hydrating ingredients. The ingredients include extracts of wheatgrass, kakadu plum, goji berry, pomegranate and echinacea. Now that I've trialled it, I'll be using this Pink Grapefruit Cream Cleanser on my son!

Pink Grapefruit  Face Mask*

'You are awesome for who you are.... not for who you can try to copy. Be yourself because you are awesome and amazing.'

Another great message on the bottle; a little snippet of positivity here and there never goes astray, so onya Empassion for making us feel confident and worthy! A quick word of advice - this mask needs to be shaken before use, otherwise it does come out runny (I learnt from experience!). The formula is very thin but smooth and easy to apply. It doesn't actually say on the bottle what it's meant to do, but the Empassion website reveals the Pink Graprefruit Face Mask is designed for normal to oily and acne-prone skin (that's me!) and that the minerals may help re-balance oil flow, strengthen skin and aid in repairing scars. I didn't actually see much difference in my skin after using this mask, but results will vary from person to person obviously. The ingredients include Australian Olive Green Clay, Sunflower Oil, Sweet Almond Oil, Safflower Oil, Pink Grapefruit Essential Oil, Wheatgrass Extract, Goji Berry Extract, Pomegranate Extract and Kakadu Plum Extract, so it has many of the ingredients common to the Cream Cleanser.

Pink Grapefruit Scented Mist*

'When you spray this Spritzer it makes everything smell amazing. When you let your personality, who you are, shine... it makes the world a more amazing place. Let who you are shine because the world will be a better place.'

I'm just going to say it... I am in love with this product! This spray is by far my favourite of the three products I tried and I've been using it everyday. I adore citrus scents because they are fresh, clean and amazing, and this zingy mist, made with pure essential oils, is no exception. I love spritzing it on my upper chest and neck as it refreshes and makes me feel uplifted when the scent reaches my nostrils. It's like using a gorgeously-scented water spray; the fine mist of cool liquid is a mood-booster and perfect to cool me down, and the delicious aroma is an added bonus. This would be ideal to toss in your gymbag to re-energize yourself after a workout! I have also used it on my pillow and as a room spray, as Empassion suggest. I love to use this mist as a base layered with my Chi Chi Pink Grapefruit perfume, as it adds depth and longevity to the fragrance. I highly recommend this delightful Scented Mist!

LUSH Limited Edition Easter Collection!

Lush lovers, beauty fans and humans of the world rejoice, because Lush have released their Limited Edition 2017 Easter Collection! The fragrances are next level, the products are fun and very eggs-citing! You can hop in-store (or online!) and pick up these cruelty-free Easter goodies until April 17. I was kindly sent a selection from the range, so let's get cracking!

Chocolate Easter Egg Soap*

'Rich creamy chocolate entwines with comforting, sweet vanilla and zesty citrus oils to create a feast of cleansing conditioning suds.'

It's pretty hard not to love a soap based on chocolate Easter eggs! This bar of Lush goodness is what I call a 'Happy Soap', because it makes me feel joyous when I use it. This is not just me being weird, it actually contains Sicilian Lemon Oil and Grapefruit Oil, ingredients known for their uplifting and refreshing qualities. This is a low lather soap, but the creaminess of the texture makes up for this. The colour is a bold, bright yellow/light orange hue with lime green undertones (I may have too much time on my hands, lol). Now I'd drawn all over myself the first day I trialled Chocolate Easter Egg, and the soap expertly removed a lipstick swatch from my wrist and the words I'd scrawled on my hand as a reminder. I love the glorious smell and the fact that it's creamy yet doesn't wear away super-fast, meaning great value for money. This soap also contains extra virgin coconut oil, vanilla absolute and vegan white chocolate.

Bunch Of Carrots Re-Usable Bubble Bar*

'Swish and swash this heritage bunch of bubble-makers for a mood-brightening soak full of Sicilian lemon, bergamot and buchu oils, and when you’re done pop it somewhere dry and safe ready to use again and again.'

I loved using this colourful Bunch Of Carrots, so much so that I used a bit off the end of each carrot, just to see what the bath water would do. I ran the pink carrot under hot water first and watched in delight as the bath water turned pink and lots of bubbles formed. Then I switched to the purple carrot, but the colour didn't really change like I thought it would. Lastly, I ran the orange carrot tail under the water and saw the water change to a slightly orange hue. I probably should have just used one carrot, but curiosity got the better of me! I've used about a third of each carrot, so I'll probably get at least three bubblebaths from my bunch, considering I used the narrow ends. It's so handy that you just leave your carrots out to dry and you can use them again. Another great value for money Easter treat, especially if you have kids or enjoy a bubblebath!

Golden Egg Bath Bomb Melt*

'Shimmeringly sensual, this sweet wild orange and cocoa butter jewel is the only chocolate fix you should set your heart on. Indulge your skin in a super-softening, skin-loving soak that's rich with luxurious butters, oils and lustre.'

I haven't had a chance to use this one yet, but I can tell you it's next level glittery! When you pick this up, you'll be covered in pretty gold glitter and shimmering like a queen! I actually just like rubbing it on myself and marvelling at my gold, shiny skin, lol. It smells absolutely amazing and I can't wait to indulge in a relaxing Golden Egg bath!

Chocolate Lip Scrub*

'Chocolate orange lingers on lips with this deliciously sugary scrub. Satisfy chocoholic cravings with dark chocolate, cocoa absolute and cocoa powder, just don't feel obliged to share. Tangerine and sweet orange oils mingle to give a juicy kick and leave your lips refreshed.'

This delicious lip scrub smells and tastes like Jaffas! If you're a fan of orange chocolate, you'll want to grab a pot of this. Ever eaten a Terry's Chocolate Orange Ball or tried the new Cadbury Orange Twirl? This scrub will take you straight there. This lip scrub is on a par with Lush Sugar Plum Fairy (reviewed here) and Mint Juleps for me. It leaves your lips super-smooth and free of dry skin, lumps and bumps. The perfect lip preparation for matte and long-wearing lipsticks and a great exfoliant for your pucker! It's also completely edible if you get hungry and eat a fingerful happen to accidentally get some in your mouth. This is such a fun product and one I'd highly recommend to chocoholics!

Chick 'N' Mix Bath Bomb*

'This sweet and zingy bomb is full of surprises, as well as comforting tonka absolute and refreshing bergamot oil to add a little spring to your step.'

This is a three-part bath bomb in the form of an egg that opens to reveal a cute little chicken! Although the inner surprise actually looks like it's stamped with a rabbit imprint, so I'm confused as to what it is. The important thing is that this is quite a large bath bomb that you could get at least two uses out of. I haven't used mine yet, as I'm saving this one for Easter weekend! The scent is fresh, zingy and citrusy, with sweet tonka, uplifting and cleansing bergamot oil, tangerine lustre and delicious vegan dark chocolate!

A number of Gifts are also available, such as the Bundle Of Fun and Golden Egg Gifts. There's also Wash Behind Your Ears Shower Gel and a super-cute Flopsy Face Wash Jelly which looks like a lot of fun, along with the Which Came First? Bath Bomb.

Click here to check out the full Lush Easter range, available in-store and online until April 17.

I don't even know where to begin with this. I had a rough wish list in my iPhone Notes and I got everything on that wish list and then some. LOL. Actually the only thing I didn't get were a few Bourjois Lip Velvets in shades other than the two I own, but after dropping an astonishing $160 (say WHAT?) I exited the store with my tail between my legs in shock and immediately forget about those lip velvets. I actually stopped and checked my receipt, for surely they had made a mistake, but no, everything was indeed discounted, I just vastly underestimated what my total would come to. 40% off is pretty much 50% off when you're as bad at maths as I, so I was just halving everything. Then I got sick of doing that and just stopped adding shit up in favour of putting pretty makeup in my basket, haha. Anyway, I was actually mortified that I spent $160 and felt sick for a good ten minutes afterwards. (During those ten minutes I went to the newsagent and dropped $10 on the latest Elle Magazine to get the free Benefit GWP, lol). Whilst at Priceline I also bought a few things for an upcoming Giveaway but I'm not posting them here, because I don't want to spoil the surprise!

FACE
Revlon Colorstay Makeup in Combination/Oily (110 Ivory) ~ repurchase of staple
L'Oreal Infallible Total Cover Longwear Foundation (10 Porcelain) ~ excited to try this hyped base!
Australis Fresh & Flawless Pressed Powder (Light Beige) ~ second purchase of this, love it!
Australis Banana Powder ~ will be using this under my eyes to brighten dark circles

NAILS/EYES
Australis Metallix Eyeshadow (Gold Gaga) ~ aah so pretty! If Guns n Roses wasn't sold out I would have got that too!
Essie Nail Lacquer (Play Date) ~ love this shade!
Sally Hansen Miracle Gel (244 Mauve-olous) ~ had to have it.
Essence Ultra Strong Nail Hardener Treatment (not pictured, oops) ~ cheap as chips and my nails need it.

LIPS
Natio Lip Colour (Flame) ~ I don't know why I got this, my mind was glazed over at this point.
Essence Lipliner (Honey Berry) ~ these are so cheap and so good!
Essence Lipliner (Femme Fatale) ~ as above
Maybelline Color Jolt (Orange Outburst) ~needed to try these newbies!
Maybelline Color Jolt (Berry Naughty) ~ this shade spoke to me (it said 'BUY ME!')
NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream (Amsterdam) ~ "Vincent Vega's in the house! Our man in Amsterdam!"
NYX Intense Butter Gloss 3 Piece Set (Pink Macaroon, Summer Fruit, Cherry Custard) ~ love these and had to add to my collection. So happy to see a trio pack!

That's it, excluding the stuff I bought for a Giveaway! Safe to say I went a little overboard. Did you exercise restraint, skip this sale or go bat-shit crazy like me? Let me know in the comments!

March Favourites!

It's time for another round of Beauty Favourites, and I honestly feel like I don't write enough of these posts? Like I'm not going to start posting my favourites weekly (lol) but maybe I should blog them monthly? I do try a lot of things, so there's a vast garden of ripe fruits from which to pluck my juicy picks of the bunch. OK, this is getting weird, let's start!

Bourjois Rouge Edition Lip Velvet in 09
I won this as part of a Bourjois makeup prize in the recent Beauty Crew Birthday Giveaway, and even though I'd heard about these hyped up lip velvets, I'd never actually tried one. It took all of one swipe for me to confirm that the hype is indeed justified. The formula and texture of this liquid matte lip colour are amazing. It is so light and soft on the lips, yet it's full of pigment. So we have high colour payoff combined with an extremely comfortable to wear formula, that glides on effortlessly and has a long-wearing matte finish. Luckily I enjoy the colour I received, but at the same time, I'll definitely be snapping up a few more shades at the Priceline 40% Off Cosmetics Sale (22nd and 23rd of March)!

Amie Petal Perfect Gently Cleansing Micellar Water*
I've been using this nightly to remove my makeup after receiving a duo of Amie skincare to trial, and the more I use it, the more I like it! I love that it's 'naturally kind' skincare, full of naturally-derived plant extracts and completely free from parabens, sulphates, mineral oils and pertrochemicals. It contains rose petal and argan oil extracts and smells so lovely, it's a real pleasure to use. My skin is left clean, soft and refreshed. This is an inexpensive Micellar Water that does a great job, and something I'd happily recommend.

Oh Deer Sugar (Oh) Peachy Keen Shower Moose
I love love love the texture and fragrance of these shower mooses (deliberately misspelt!) by Oh Deer Sugar. You can read my review of the delicious Rose & Passionfruit Shower Moose in my September Favourites post. I honestly thought nothing could compare to that amazing moussey delight, but the peaches and cream product is freaking brilliant. Think soft, whipped, mousse-like, fluffy af goodness that melts into your skin and lathers up luxuriously, whilst filling your nostrils with the gorgeous aroma of fruity peaches and sweet cream. I'm seriously in love and need to try all of the scents available!

Redken Beach Envy Volume Texturizing Shampoo & Conditioner*
It's amazing the difference good quality haircare products can make. I jumped at the chance to try this duo when I got the press release, because I'm always on the look out for volume-creating products for my fine, flat locks. As it stands, I already have quite an array of body builders (not that type!) in my arsenal; from thickening foams, root boost juice and extra volume dry shampoo to volumising spray and thickening treatment serums. And more, lol. But the Redken shampoo and conditioner set impressed me from the get-go, smelling delightful, providing a good lather and leaving my hair soft and healthy-looking. Weirdly, the conditioner is clear, which I don't come across often, but it did an amazing job on my hair, so the colour of it is inconsequential. During trialling, I used all my other products as usual, and only switched my shampoo and conditioner. So I scrunched through my thickening foam and blow-dried whilst scrunching as I usually would, and am pleased to say I did get bouncy waves and volume! I will definitely continue to use these products as I love the results I'm getting.

PuraSonic VIVA
I've been wanting to try a facial cleansing device for quite some time, but there are so many on the market now, it's hard to know which one to get! Well it turns out I didn't have to decide, because I won this little white baby from an Instagram Giveaway. This is so easy to use! It even came already charged up, and I haven't had to recharge it myself yet! I simply dab my cleanser of choice on my face, turn the PuraSonic VIVA on, and it literally does all the work for me. It fits easily into my hand, and it feels so nice when the brush-head is vibrating, giving my skin a much deeper clean than my fingers ever could. I don't know if you're supposed to exfoliate with it as well, but I did (but not for long, and gently!). My skin looked and felt amazing after the first go; it was so smooth and it felt cleaner than it had in ages. This also reduces the size of pores and decreases the appearance of fine lines. I am loving my new cleansing buddy!

Rimmel Kate Moss Sculpting Palette*
You know when you forget you have something, then re-discover it and are wowwed by it? That's what happened with this gorgeous rose gold palette! I was sent this along with some other Rimmel makeup a while back, and have just recently started using it again. This is in the shade Coral Glow, and I'm deadset reaching for the blush every week day lately! I'm also using the highlighter, but not as frequently as the flattering blush. I really love that you can build the colour up and it blends like a dream. I actually put some contour underneath, blend that out, then put the blush over the top, then blend again. If I can be stuffed have time I'll go in with some highlight on my cheekbones. So glad I've given this multi-tasking palette another go! You can read my original review of it here.
