GIVEAWAY/REVIEW: WIN Rimmel Trio Palettes!

Hi guys! Today I am so excited to tell you about some brand new Rimmel x Kate Moss makeup releases, and give you a chance to WIN your own set! There will be two lucky Winners, who will each receive a set of Trio Palettes; that's the Bronzing, Highlighting and the Blush palettes! This Giveaway will run over on my Instagram page, but first let's look at what you could win!

Kate Moss has collaborated with Rimmel to create three new trio palettes. I was so happy when I saw this new release, because I've completely finished the blush and well on my way to panning the contour shade out of the original Rimmel Sculpting palette. So these have come out at the perfect time!

The idea behind the three-shade palettes is that they'll suit every skin tone, whether you are fair, mid-toned or an exotic beauty. I'm fair to ghost (lol) and find myself reaching for the top, lightest shade in every palette.

Bronzing Palette
Designed for a sun-kissed look, you can define and contour your cheek bones and face with a selection of three warm bronze shades. This ultra-fine powder can be applied on bare skin or over foundation, to warm up your complexion. I love using the top shade just under my cheek bones to contour and along my jawline to contour and define. I also use a small amount down the sides of my nose as a contour. Remember to blend well!

Blush Palette
This is such a gorgeous blush palette that's both versatile and flattering. The finishes range from shimmer to lustre with a rosy pink at the top, a golden orangey shade in the middle that reminds me of NARS Orgasm and a deep shimmery plum hue at the bottom of the palette. The shades are really pigmented, so a little bit goes a long way. I recommend applying this sparingly and building it up to avoid any #makeupfails.

Highlighting Palette
Highlighting is probably the thing I'm worst at when it comes to doing my face, so I've used this palette the least out of the three. I've given the top two shades a go, and as with the Blushes, a light hand is needed. I went a bit OTT (or maybe didn't blend enough?) the first time and boy did my highlight pack a punch! The trio palette holds a combination of tones which delivers a glow and highlight, adding warmth and depth to the face.

WIN!
These palettes retail for $16.95 each. In conjunction with Rimmel London, I'm giving away SIX of them! That's right, TWO lucky Winners will win a set of 3 Bronzing, Blush and Highlighting Palettes each!

TWO WINNERS will receive:
~ 1 x Bronzing palette, 1 x Blush palette + 1 x Highlighting palette (valued at $50.85)
~ total prize value is $101.70
Click here to be taken to the Giveaway.
~ entry is easy. Good Luck!

Mani Monday: Mauve Madness!

It's Adelaide Cup Day here today, and although I'm not a fan of horse racing, I am enjoying the Public Holiday! Today I'm coming at you with a mauve-hued manicure. I've used Rimmel 60 Seconds Super Shine in Lovey Dovey on most of my claws, with Furless nail lacquer in Punk on my ring fingers for a contrasting feature. And because your bitch is lazy, you know it's just one coat of each with no top coat. Who has time for that shizz? Look out for a bonus pic of Nutmeg!

Products Used:
Rimmel 60 Seconds Super Shine in Lovey Dovey
Furless nail lacquer in Punk*

Max My Movies: March Movie Challenge!

Hi guys! Do I love setting myself challenges? The answer is YES! I've just finished my February Sample Challenge which I'll blog the results of soon, and now I'm on to a new challenge of a different kind. I've been watching a lot of Netflix shows lately, so much so that I'm neglecting my first love, movies. But that's all about to change as I force myself to watch 31 movies in 31 days. Yes, that's right, it's time for my March Movie Challenge!

The rules:
~ I must not have seen the movie before
~ I can watch them in any order
~ I can swap movies out of the challenge and put others in their place
~ they can be from any source, eg DVD, Bluray, TV, Netflix, the cinema.
~ I can skip a day here and there, but must try to watch 31 movies by March 31

OK, so here are the 31 films I've selected for the challenge, along with a few alternatives in case I feel like watching those instead...

1    Nightcrawler (Jake Gyllenhaal Rene Russo)
2    Spotlight (Mark Ruffalo, Michael Keaton)
3    Suicide Squad (Will Smith, Margot Robbie)
4    Zero Dark Thirty (Jessica Chastain, Joel Edgerton)
5    The Ides Of March (Ryan Gosling, George Clooney)
6    David Brent: Life On The Road (Ricky Gervais, Ben Bailey Smith)
7    The Rover (Guy Pearce, Robert Pattinson)
8    Bridget Jones's Baby (Renee Zellweger, Colin Firth)
9    Scoop (Hugh Jackman, Scarlett Johansson)
10  Beautiful Creatures (Alden Ehrenreich, Alice Englert)
11  Snowpiercer (Chris Evans, Tilda Swinton)
12  Rough Night (Scarlett Johansson, Kate McKinnon)
13  Miss You Already (Drew Barrymore, Toni Collette)
14  J.Edgar (Leonardo DiCaprio, Armie Hammer)
15  Dallas Buyers Club (Matthew McConaughey, Jennifer Garner)
16  Revolutionary Road (Leonardo DiCaprio, Kate Winslet)
17  Blue Jasmine (Cate Blanchett, Sally Hawkins)
18  Personal Shopper (Kristen Stewart, Nora Waldstätten)
19  The Revenant (Leonardo DiCaprio, Tom Hardy)
20  Good Time (Robert Pattinson, Jennifer Jason Leigh)
21  Kill Bill: Volume 1 (Uma Thurman, Lucy Liu)
22  Kill Bill: Volume 2 (Uma Thurman, Daryl Hannah)
23  Zoolander 2 (Ben Stiller, Owen Wilson)
24  What We Do In The Shadows (Jemaine Clement, Taika Waititi)
25  The Intern (Robert De Niro, Anne Hathaway)
26  Gravity (Sandra Bullock, George Clooney)
27  Trancendence (Johnny Depp, Rebecca Hall)
28  Money Monster (George Clooney, Julia Roberts)
29  Eat Pray Love (Julia Roberts, James Franco)
30  Public Enemies (Johnny Depp, Christian Bale)
31  Mud (Matthew McConaughey, Reese Witherspoon)

Alternative Titles
1  John Wick (Keanu Reeves, Michael Nyqvist)
2  John Wick : Chapter 2 (Keanu Reeves, Common)
3  Walk The Line (Joaquin Phoenix, Reese Witherspoon)
4  I'm Not There (Christian Bale, Cate Blanchett)
5  The Babadook (Essie Davis, Noah Wiseman)

After organising this challenge I've realised a few Netflix-related minor problems; new episodes of Dynasty and Riverdale are being released in March, as well as the much anticipated (by me!) release of Season 2 of Santa Clarita Diet and the third and final season of Love on Netflix, all of which I probably won't have time to watch given this epic challenge. Aargh!
